Meet Butterscotch

Adopt Don't Shop

Meet Butterscotch, a stunning orange tabby with a heart as sweet as his name and a story that will tug at yours.

Butterscotch was found wandering the busy streets of Woodside, Queens, seemingly dumped in a hectic, dangerous area where he clearly didn’t belong. With no street smarts and nowhere to go, this gentle boy spent his days and nights aimlessly roaming, sleeping under bushes for shelter and searching for kindness in strangers.

His luck began to change when a concerned neighbor posted about him on Facebook — and a kind-hearted Good Samaritan stepped up. A local woman began feeding him every night at 7 PM, offering warm chicken dinners and a bit of comfort. It quickly became clear that Butterscotch wasn’t a stray — his affectionate nature and trust in humans showed he was once someone’s beloved pet.

Sadly, that someone left him behind. But Butterscotch never gave up hope.

He was crossing busy roads daily, seeking human interaction, even approaching commuters at the local bus stop. Thanks to the woman who cared enough to act, Butterscotch was brought to us last week — and now he’s safe, calm, and ready for a new chapter.

He’s approximately two years old, neutered, microchipped, and has been fully vetted. He’s mellow, incredibly affectionate, and already making friends with the other cats in our care. The woman who rescued him gave him the perfect name — inspired by the warm, golden tones of his fur and his soulful amber eyes.

Now, Butterscotch is waiting for a real forever home — one that will never abandon him again.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a heart full of love and a story of resilience, Butterscotch is your guy.

Adopt Butterscotch and give him the loving, secure life he deserves. He’s ready to love you back tenfold.
