Northport Man Dies In Crash In Vermont

BENSON, VT — A Northport man was killed in a two-car crash in Vermont on Monday, Vermont State Police said.

Vincent Thorn, 68, of Northport, was making a left onto Route 22A in Benson in his 2020 Subaru Forester when he was struck by a car being driven by a 53-year-old Brooklyn man, police said. The Brooklyn man was headed south on 22A, police said.

Thorn was pronounced dead at the scene around 8:30 p.m. Monday, while the Brooklyn man was not injured, police said.
