Stranded Paddleboarder Rescued From Long Island Sound
The woman was found hanging onto a buoy on Sunday.

A paddleboarder was rescued from the Long Island Sound on Sunday after the strong winds made her unable to get back to shore.
According to officials, the Asharoken Police Department received a call for a paddle boarder in distress about 300 yards off shore at 11:33 a.m. Patrolling officer Sid Lynn found the 29-year-old Brooklyn woman hanging onto a buoy after she couldn't get back to shore, officials say.
The officer handed the woman a life jacket and helped her onto the police boat. The woman, along with her paddle board, were uninjured and in good condition following the incident, officials say. Officer James Cox also assisted while on land.

This was the second day in a row Lynn helped a paddleboarder in distress. Lynn rescued a 20-year-old East Northport man sitting on his paddle board about 300 yards off Sand City in Eaton's Neck. on Saturday at 2:10 p.m. The man was brought aboard the police boat and was safely brought to shore at Hobart Beach, according to PIO Steve Silverman.
