ELWOOD, NY — Students from Elwood-John H. Glenn High School recently teamed up with second graders at Harley Avenue Primary School for a hands-on technology project that connected classrooms across grade levels.

As part of the high school’s child studies program, the older students visited Harley Avenue to help the younger learners design interactive “All About Me” books using Book Creator, a multimedia tool that combines text, images, and audio.

Working side by side, the students explored creativity and self-expression while learning how technology can be used to tell personal stories. The initiative also gave the high schoolers valuable experience in mentoring and child development — a key component of their coursework.
