Bronx Man Accused Of Being Golf Club Bandit: PD
Police claim the man entered several golf pro shops to swipe clubs over several months.
ORANGETOWN, NY — A Bronx resident is accused of breaking into several area golf pro shops in recent months and then stealing golf clubs, police said.
On March 11, police charged Matthew S. Berman, 41, with four counts of third-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny, third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and third-degree criminal mischief, according to Capt. Michael Shannon.
The thefts happened in Tappan, Palisades and Pearl River, police said.

Berman has been arraigned in Orangetown Justice Court, and his next court date is April 15.
