Enjoy Local Theater and Musical Performances

There are many ways to keep busy around Nyack and Peirmont this weekend, and we're here to help you decide which happenings are for you.

Maxwell Anderson's "Key Largo"
  • Where: Nyack Village Theatre
  • When: Friday, Nov. 15 and Saturday, Nov. 16 at 8 p.m.
  • Cost: $20 per ticket
  • Description: Maxwell Anderson, who lived in Rockland County, wrote the 1938 Broadway play "Key Largo," which was later made into a movie by the same name starting Humphrey Bogart, Edward G. Robinson and Lauren Bacall. This performance of the play, directed by Richard Quinn, will also be presented Nov. 22 and 23. To purchase tickets or find more information, click here.  
St. Thomas Aquinas College Open Houses
  • Where: St. Thomas Aquinas College at 125 Route 340 in Sparkill
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. for undergraduate programs; 2 p.m. for graduate programs. 
  • Cost: Free
  • Description: High school and transfer students can tour the STAC campus and speak with current students during the undergraduate open house. For graduate school, speak with graduate coordinators about the MBA Program and the Grfaduate Education Programs. Register in advance online. GradeMusic Presents The Sebastians
  • Where: Grace Episcopal Church at 130 First Ave. in Nyack
  • When: Sunday, Nov. 17 at 4 p.m.
  • Cost: $20, $15 for seniors and $5 for students
  • Description: The Sebastians chamber ensemble will perform Vivaldi's L'Estro Armonico and a new composition by Robert Honstein. There will be a reception to meet the artists after the performance. Find out more here
