Nyack Hospital Patient Accused of Attacking Nurse
Stony Point man charged with assault.

A patient at Nyack Hospital has been charged with assault after punching a nurse at the hospital, according to Orangetown Police.
Police said Gary Bobb, 54, of 1 Youngstown Court, Stony Point, was charged with third-degree assault following a 12:15 a.m. incident on Thursday, when he is accused of walking into another patient's room, using obscene language and then urinating on the floor.
As a registered nurse attempted to escort Bobb back to his bed, police said Bobb punched the nurse with an uppercut. The nurse suffered substantial pain and required treatment.

Police said Bobb was restrained and sedated by hospital staff.
Bobb was cited for the assault charge and faces a May 16 hearing in Nyack Village Court.
