Tappan Zee's baseball and softball sectional playoff home games Friday were postponed until Saturday, as was the Nyack softball game at Brewster. This is the second consecutive day of rain forcing postponements in the area.
Nyack's Class A softball first-round game at Brewster is now set for 11 a.m. Saturday.
The two softball games at Tappan Zee were initially pushed to Saturday, but the decision came in Friday night to move them to Tuesday. Byram Hills faces Albertus Magnus at 3 p.m. Tuesday, with the winner staying to play Tappan Zee at 5:30 p.m.
The Tappan Zee baseball team's home game against Somers was also initially rescheduled for Saturday before being pushed back again to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The games had to be moved back that far because Section 1 is not allowing any events to be scheduled Sunday and Monday due to the Memorial Day Holiday. With more rain in the forecast, the Nyack's softball game could also end up being pushed back to Tuesday.
