Piermont Man Charged With Sex Crime Against Child Under 13 In NJ

The alleged sexual assault of a juvenile occurred in the past, Bergen County prosecutors said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Piermont, NY man has been charged with sexually assaulting a child under 13 in Bergen County.

John Mark Dillon, 60, was arrested in Rockland County Feb. 26 and charged with aggravated sexual assault, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said.

Prosecutors said that the Northvale Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile that had occurred in the past, prosecutors said.

An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Northvale Police Department determined that Dillon had sexually assaulted a child under the age of 13 in Northvale, proseutors said.

Dillon faces two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault.
