Piermont Man Killed In 1-Car Crash On The Palisades Parkway

PIERMONT, NY — A Piermont resident died in a one-car crash on the Palisades Interstate Parkway Saturday.

Police were called to an accident at 2:37 a.m. on the parkway in Alpine, New Jersey. The officers located a 2018 black Lincoln Navigator overturned in the center median of the highway, just north of the Alpine Lookout.

The driver and only vehicle occupant, a 49-year-old man from Piermont, New York was found dead inside.

The Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Detective Bureau is investigating the cause with the assistance of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

The identity of the driver will be released as soon as the next of kin is notified, Parkway Police LT. Raymond E. Walter said.
