Members of the Blauvelt Lions Leos Club at Tappan Zee High School spent nearly 200 hours over the winter break helping others.
They joined members of the Immaculate Conception Church of Stony Brook for a Midnight Run in New York City Dec. 21, bringing food to over 50 homeless New Yorkers.They also helped distributed clothing, Christmas presents and other much-needed items.
More than 20 Leos helped prepare dinner an desserts, washed dishes and served over 60 members of the community with the Soup Angels in Nyack Dec. 30. They also made holiday cards for the attendees before they arrived.
