Work To Close Route 9W From Sparkill To South Nyack Saturday

ORANGETOWN, NY — State Route 9W will be closed in both directions on Saturday for road work between Shadyside Avenue in South Nyack and Hickey Street in Sparkill.

Local residents will be able to access their properties.

Weather permitting, the work will be done between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., state transportation officials said.

Anticipate delays. Follow the posted detour utilizing State Route 59, State Route 303 and State Route 340.

Slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Also, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your drivers license.
