Rockland’s Only Local Broadcaster to Offer Continuous Live, Original Programming Weekdays 6AM-5PM
Garnerville, NY – October 29, 2021 – WRCR 1700 AM, Rockland County’s only broadcast radio station, specializing in news, information and entertainment for the Lower Hudson Valley and NYC suburbs, is launching a new music program in its mid-day hours. Beginning Monday, November 1st, 2021, “Stardust Memories” will run from 10AM-2PM weekdays and will feature a collection of favorites, melodies and standards from the “Great American Songbook,” such as Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat “King” Cole and more. Dan Karcher, who spent 23 years with NYC’s WBGO Jazz88, is the producer and host of “Stardust Memories.”
“WRCR listeners have been searching for a place to find this classic collection of music for a long time, and WRCR is proud to make the past come alive on the air once again,” said Kerry Potter, WRCR’s Director of Business Development.

“Stardust Memories” premieres Monday, November 1st at 10AM, following “The Morning Show with Jeff & Will.”
