• Idle Hour approves sewer project's first phase (trihamletnews.com) — Idle Hour residents in Oakdale overwhelmingly approved the first phase of the Oakdale Sewer Project, paving the way for free sewer hookups for more than 400 homes starting as early as 2027. While state and federal grants will cover installation, homeowners will pay new county wastewater fees that planners say should still save money compared with cesspool maintenance, while also cutting nitrogen pollution in local canals and the Connetquot River.
