25 Days Of Holiday Volunteering — Day 4: Open Door Toy Drive

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — 'Tis the season for giving back to your community. There are a number of ways that you and your family can help others through the holidays.

Every day through Christmas, Patch will be highlighting a way you can provide compassion and resources to those in need.

Volunteer New York! makes it easy to find ways to help — through donations, supporting nonprofits and even volunteering from home.

Today’s opportunity is the 2023 Holiday Toy Drive for Open Door Family Medical Center. Open Door has been giving out holiday toys to children in the community for 36 years. Last year alone, more than 1,350 families received gift bundles filled with toys, books, pajamas and hand-knitted items. You can even host your own toy drive with family, friends and colleagues.
