Cops Hunting For Suspect Who Drove Into House, Causing Fire, And Fled
15 residents were displaced from their homes on South Highland Avenue on Saturday afternoon, according to Ossining police.

OSSINING, NY — A driver managed to cause incredible destruction before making themselves scarce, according to police.
The Ossining Police Department says that 15 residents were displaced from their homes on Saturday, around 4:29 p.m., after a car crashed into a house on South Highland Ave., causing a fire.
The unidentified driver then fled the scene, police said.

Firefighters from neighboring towns, including Croton-on-Hudson, Millwood, Sleepy Hollow, Briarcliff Manor, Greenburgh helped fight the stubborn blaze.
"The police can't be everywhere all the time. Without help from the community, we can't effectively do our job," Ossining police posted on social media. "It takes a team effort to keep Ossining safe, and that's where you come in."
