Flash Flood Warning Continues For Putnam, Rockland, Westchester
A flood warning for the Hudson River at Poughkeepsie is in effect as well.
HUDSON VALLEY, NY — A flood warning has been issued for Putnam and Westchester counties, and flash flood warnings are out for Rockland, Putnam and Westchester.
The National Weather Service said between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned areas.
Some locations are flooding; others that will experience urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall include White Plains, Mount Kisco, Mahopac, Lake Carmel and Brewster.

Also, a flash flood warning has been issued for Rockland, Putnam and Westchester. Named communities include Ossining, Peekskill, Haverstraw, Tarrytown, Mount Kisco, Mahopac, Lake Carmel, Nyack, Brewster and Cold Spring.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles, the NWS said.

A flood warning has been issued for the Hudson River near Poughkeepsie from this morning to late this evening. At 7:45 AM EST Monday the stage was 3.9 feet. Forecast — The river level will drop briefly this morning before rising to around flood stage with a maximum value of 4.4 feet late this afternoon, the National Weather Service said. Flood stage is 4.2 feet.
