Flooding Delays Ossining School Buses, Closes Village, Town Fields

OSSINING, NY — The Ossining school district alerted parents that afternoon buses may be delayed Friday due to the heavy rain and scattered flooding on local roads.

There will be no after-school activities.

The Ossining Recreation Department has also closed all its fields for the whole weekend. They are too saturated with water to be played on.

Westchester County Executive George Latimer declared a state of emergency due to widespread flooding down-county.

Ossining police reminded residents to limit unnecessary travel and be cautious of deep standing water on roadways.
