Hudson Valley One Of World's 100 Greatest Places: Time
The region is one of the most popular locales in New York, according to the magazine's 2021 list.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Our region made it onto Time magazine's 2021 list of the World's Greatest Places.
The Hudson Valley is among 100 spots dubbed by the writers as "extraordinary destinations to explore." For the third annual list, TIME solicited nominations of places — including countries, regions, cities and towns — from its international network of correspondents and contributors, in a tribute especially to the people and businesses who in 2020, "amid extraordinary circumstances, found ways to adapt, build and innovate."

The Hudson Valley, known for its country charm and succulent agriculture, is fast becoming one of the most popular locales in New York—thanks in part to an influx of city dwellers relocating during the pandemic, as well as the opening of Legoland in Goshen. Travelers will also have their choice of new hotels: Hutton Brickyards in Kingston, with luxury cabins close to the Hudson River, and The Maker, a hotel, restaurant, lounge and café in Hudson that celebrates all things artisanal. Farther south, the revitalized Blue Hill at Stone Barns has a new chefs-in-residence program, bringing in more talents to shake up its famed kitchen.
You know Patch agrees — that's why we highlight so many places to go and things to do. Like this sample from our 1-Tank Adventure series (which includes Stone Barns):
- 1-Tank Adventure: Bear Mountain State Park
- 1-Tank Adventure: St. Paul's Church National Historic Site
- 1-Tank Adventure: Stone Barns Center For Food And Agriculture
- 1-Tank Adventure: Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa
- 1-Tank Adventure: 'See For Miles' At This Hudson Valley Overlook
- 1-Tank Adventure: Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome
