Jug Tavern Presents Concert At Ossining Library
The roots of American music are watered by many hands from many lands, organizers said.

OSSINING, NY — The Jug Tavern of Sparta is presenting a free concert of American roots music at the Ossining Public Library at 2 p.m. April 27.
Well-known to Jug Tavern audiences since 2016, banjo player Tim Rowell and fiddler Ambrose Verdibello are back with special guest Steve Kessler on guitar for another concert of American roots music called "American Music from the Mountain."
The roots of American music are watered by many hands from many lands, organizers said. Fiddle tunes and songs travelled great distances across the oceans carried largely by people in search of a better life. Their melodies were carried in the hearts of musicians and passed down from generation to generation.
