Carol S. Neumann of Croton on Hudson, NY, passed away Monday February 13, 2023, in Sleepy Hollow, NY at the age of 85.

Carol was born July 10, 1937, in Bronx, NY, daughter of the late Harold R. and Margaret (Schweigard) Neumann. She attended St. Gabriel’s and Our Lady of Victory High School, both in the Bronx.

Carol was an avid and talented crochetier, creating beautiful, handcrafted pieces that continue to be admired today. Throughout her career as a telephone operator, Carol was respected for her commitment, and her ability to quickly respond to any request in an organized and professional manner. She was the voice of Northern Westchester Hospital for 33 years. Carol loved to laugh. She loved spending time with her sweet dog Daisy who brought her great joy. Carol had a passion for her church community and was cherished by her family friends and all her knew her.

Carol is survived by her children, Karen Martin and her spouse D’Arcy of Vancouver, WA, Renee Acquisto and her husband Thomas of Brewster, NY; brother Christopher Neumann and his wife Kathy of Mt. Vernon, NY; sister Susan Calcagni and her husband John of Greenwich, NY, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Richard Sposato of Somers, NY and her brother Russell Neumann of Ripon, CA.

Funeral services will take place at a later date.
