Obituary: Ceila Sanchez, 98

Ossining resident Celia Sanchez, who lived to age 98, passed away on Wednesday, July 17. She was born in Puerto Rico on July 26, to Gregorio and Angelina (Ojeda) Sanchez.

Sanchez was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses of the Ossining Spanish Congregation.

Her children Antonio, Cesar, Agredin, Iraida Rivera, Edgar Rojas, Ilsa and Celenia Pabon survive her; five generations of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and great great great grandchildren survive her. She is predeceased by her husband Antonio Rivera, her children Olga Ramos, Leida Otero, Onorio Rivera.

Visiting is on Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dorsey Funeral Home in Ossining. The services are on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The internment will follow at Dale Cemetery in Ossining.
