Open Door Family Medical Announces New Board Appointments Strengthening Leadership in Community Health Care
Four community members have been Named to key board positions, bringing decades of nonprofit leadership
Open Door Family Medical Center today announced the appointment of four community members to key board positions, bringing decades of nonprofit leadership, health care expertise, and community service experience to advance the organization's mission of providing accessible, high-quality health care to underserved communities.
The new appointments include three new directors joining the Open Door Family Medical Center Board: Robert A. Glazer, Alison Paul, and Carolyn P. Neuhaus, and Sue Greene Fuirst returning to the Open Door Foundation Board after a five-year hiatus.
Robert A. Glazer, President of Glazer Business Advisors, LLC and already a board member and officer of the Open Door Foundation, is now a director of the Open Door Family Medical Center. Bob earned a Master in both Public Administration and Health Care Administration from New York University. In addition to his vast experience in the health care field, including his tenure as CEO of ENT and Allergy Associates in Tarrytown, Bob also brings the skills developed through providing strategic advice to a variety of clients, as well as his membership in numerous organizations, including M&T Bank’s Regional Business Advisory Committee, Westchester County Association, Business Council of Westchester, and Jewish Business Network. Bob and his wife, Randee, live in Westchester where he enjoys watercolor painting and the proximity to New York City.

Alison Paul, President of Alison Paul Grant writing and Consulting, brings with her over 30 years of experience with nonprofits as a grant writer, fundraiser, consultant and executive director. Alison earned a Master of Public Administration at New York University and her experiences working in Westchester have ranged from ten years writing successful government and private grants for Public Schools of the Tarrytowns, founding and leading a summer arts camp, and teaching grant writing as an Adjunct Instructor in Westchester Community College’s Division of Community Education. The most recent recognition of her many contributions was as the 2025 recipient of the Association of Development Officer’s Peter J. Gallagher Service Award. Alison lives in Westchester with her husband, Marc, and is a certified yoga instructor.
Carolyn P. Neuhaus is a Research Scholar at The Hastings Center for Bioethics, where her research focuses on ethics in primary care and bioethics education. She earned a doctorate in Philosophy from City University of New York and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in NYU School of Medicine’s Division of Medical Ethics. Carolyn grew up in Westchester and, following graduation from Georgetown University, lived in Honduras. She since co-founded The Solidarity Project, a nonprofit that facilitates and supports community driven development there. Carolyn is also a member of the Ethics Committee at Phelps Northwell Hospital. She lives in Irvington with her husband and two children.

Sue Greene Fuirst, a ten-year board member and former chair of the Open Door Foundation Board, has returned to serve on the board after a 5-year hiatus. A graduate of both Clark University and Volunteer New York!’s Leadership Westchester, as well as a member of Impact100 Westchester, Sue has used her marketing experience and organizational skills to help nonprofits create meaningful, sustainable change. In 2015, Sue co-founded Spiral Giving, a high school youth philanthropy program which awards micro-grants to local organizations while teaching high school students about grant-making and the need to give back. Sue was honored at Open Door’s 2019 Tune-In Gala for her leadership and advocacy. That same year she was recognized by the Association of Development Officers as Outstanding Philanthropist. She is a native of Westchester and she and her husband, Ken, raised their three adult children here.
