Ossining-Croton-On-Hudson Mom Is 'Loving, Generous & Supportive'

OSSINING-CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

My mom is an incredibly loving, generous and supportive person. She always goes above and beyond for her children, grandchild, family and friends, and takes the time to make everyone feel special. My mom has been through a lot of loss in her life. She lost her twin sister when she was younger, and just recently, lost her husband (my dad), to a sudden battle with pancreatic cancer. Despite these devastating losses, she continues to smile every day, and her positive attitude is infectious to all of those around her. Thank you so much, Mom, for being the amazing person that you are! Your unconditional love and support to everyone in your life does not go unnoticed!

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

My Mom deserves the spotlight because of her selflessness. She always puts others first and makes sure to brighten everyone's day, whether it's checking in by phone, showing up to support at a special event, or just spending quality time together. For once, she deserves the spotlight herself.
