Ossining Man Accused of Drunk Driving After Car Crash: Police

Police said the man crossed over the double yellow line into oncoming traffic.

OSSINING, NY — An Ossining man was accused of drunken driving after a car crash that resulted in injuries to himself in Yorktown.

The Yorktown Police Department said Jorge D. Guaman, 26, of Ossining, was arrested Saturday and charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, a misdemeanor, and unlicensed operator, fail to keep right, moved from lane unsafely and fail to obey a traffic control device, traffic infractions.

Police said, shortly before 6:30 a.m. Saturday, an officer was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Route 100 in the area of Route 134.

After an investigation at the scene, police said Guaman was driving while intoxicated, with no driver’s license. He crossed over the double yellow line into oncoming traffic, according to law enforcement.

He was arrested and taken to the Westchester Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained during the accident.

Following treatment, Guaman was taken to the Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing.

He was issued uniform traffic tickets for the charges and was released to a responsible third party.

Guaman is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court March 14.
