Ossining MATTERS Run/Walk Rescheduled

The safety and well-being of attendees, participants, and volunteers are top priorities, the organizers said.

OSSINING, NY — Due to the weather conditions expected over the weekend, Ossining MATTERS has rescheduled the Run Walk to Oct. 7.

"After careful consideration and much deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our event scheduled for Saturday, September 23, 2023, due to the anticipated adverse weather conditions which would create unsafe conditions for all participants," the organizers said on Facebook.

This decision was not made lightly. However, the safety and well-being of our attendees, participants, and volunteers are our top priorities, and the unpredictable weather conditions make it impossible for us to proceed with the event as planned.
The good news is that we have been working diligently to ensure that this event can still take place, and we are excited to announce the rescheduled date: October 7th in the same location! We believe that moving the event to this new date will provide us with better weather conditions and a safer, more enjoyable experience for everyone.
We understand that rescheduling may cause some inconvenience, but we are committed to delivering the same fantastic event that you were looking forward to. Your previously purchased tickets/registrations will remain valid for the new date, so there's no need to take any additional action.
We are grateful for your continued support and enthusiasm for our event. We can't wait to welcome you on October 7th and create lasting memories together. In the meantime, we'll be working diligently to ensure that everything is in place for a fantastic experience.
Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued trust in us. We look forward to seeing you on October 7th for a memorable event. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.
