Ossining Police: Public Lewdness, Drunken Ruckus

A summary of recent police activity and arrests in the village of Ossining.

Public Lewdness

A State Street man, aged 28, was charged with public lewdness after police found him walking down Broad Avenue on September 2 just before 8 p.m. with his pants unzipped and ready to urinate on the street.

When he was taken into custody, he gave police a fake name, said Lt. William Sullivan, resulting in another charge of impersonation.

Police also found that the man had an open warrant out for his arrest for a previous disorderly conduct charge.

Intoxicated, Screaming

A man was arrested on September 1 just after 8 p.m. after allegedly causing a drunken ruckus in the street.

Police got a call on Linda Avenue from someone saying a highly intoxicated man was making a lot of noise. Police arrived and found the man "being boisterous in the street, yelling and screaming," Lt. Sullivan said.

Police charged him with disorderly conduct.

Note: An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
