Person Recovering After Being Found On Tracks At Croton-Harmon Station
First responders got the person onto a stretcher, but the person went into cardiac arrest while being moved, fire officials said.
CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY — A person is recovering after being found unconscious while lying on railroad tracks at the Croton-Harmon Train Station.
The Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department said, around 2:45 p.m. Thursday, personnel, along with Croton EMS and police, Ossining paramedics and MTA police, responded to the Croton-Harmon Train Station for someone lying on the tracks.
Metro-North stopped rail traffic and disconnected power to the high-voltage third rail which allowed rescuers to get to the person.

The person was placed on a stretcher but went into cardiac arrest while being moved.
Life-saving measures were started and the person was taken to a local hospital, where they were awake and recovering.
