Pet of the Week Has Celebrity Encounter

Sunshine (more information at this link) has been with the ASPCA since November 2022 after being rescued from a suspected animal cruelty situation. She is seeking a single-dog household outside NYC in the suburbs or surrounding areas after receiving specialized care from the ASPCA.

She is a big fan of belly rubs and needs a home with no other dogs, as she'd prefer the attention of her adoptive family all to herself. Some things we’ve learned about Sunshine are that she’s a big fan of meditation music, soft snuggles and is happy to be your #1 fan while you sing along to your favorite music.

Sunshine recently met actress Bellamy Young, the award-winning star of the ABC drama series "Scandal," at the ASPCA Adoption Center.
