Police: Drowning Victim Pulled from Croton Shore Sunday

The 53-year-old man was conscious but brought to the hospital.

A Croton man was rescued from the water off Croton Point Park on August 25 at 2:58 p.m.

Croton police they were called by the county, who polices the park, to assist with the rescue. A marine unit was being sent from George's Island and they asked for EMS support. 

The man, when pulled from the water, was conscious but was administered oxygen, Sgt. John Nikitopoulos reports. 

The man, aged 53, was taken to Phelps Memorial Hospital. Local police had no further information.
