A 44-year-old Ossining woman was arrested and charged with second degree assault after allegedly striking her roommate on the head with a coffee mug.
Pineve Noscue of Central Avenue faces a felony charge after a fight with another woman in the home they shared resulted in the victim being treated at Phelps Memorial Hospital.
At first, Lt. William Sullivan said Noscue allegedly "tried to cover it up," by reporting her version of the incident to police. Noscue reported the fight to Greenburgh Police on the morning of August 28, but upon further investigation Ossining police ended up arresting the complainant.
Because there was a weapon involved -- the mug -- the charge is a felony.
Note: An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
