Record Number of Croton-Harmon HS Students Earn AP Scholar Awards

Croton-Harmon High School is pleased to announce that 92 students earned recognition as advanced placement scholars from the College Board’s Advanced Placement Program.

The College Board’s AP program provides willing and academically prepared students with the opportunity to take rigorous college-level courses while still in high school and to earn college credit, advanced placement or both for successful performance on the AP exams.

Five CHHS students were named national AP scholars by earning at least 4.0 on all AP exams taken and scores of 4.0 or higher on eight or more of these exams: Shelby Frazier, Alexander Kleinman, Saskia Lane, Duncan McManus and Samuel Roth.

Twenty-four CHHS students received the AP Scholar Award with distinction by earning an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of three or higher on five or more of these exams. Congratulations to Ijangmarie Abam-Depass, Shane Andrews, Olivia Anzalone, Veronica Cho, Natalie Danett, Shelby Frazier, Marissa Gershowitz, Henry Jaensch, Alexander Kleinman, Saskia Lane, Marissa Lewis, Duncan McManus, Armand Pappas, Magdalena Roberto, Laura Rodriguez, Samuel Roth, Maggie Rothberg, Susan Rykowski, Olivia Shaw, Izabella Solarz, Griffin Stockton, Olivia Vigiletti, Loretta Violante and Hannah Wolland.

An additional 24 students were named AP Scholars with honor by earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams: Lorenzo Auslander, Megan Balemian-Spencer, Sophie Bauder, Anna Burholt, Nicholas Casieri, Rebecca Davidson, Donato Deingeniis, Sarah Fant, Alison Garbarini, Imanol Herrero, Joshua Holder, Olivia Huigens, Leif Lindholm, William Mahoney, Audrey Maxwell, Katherine Miller, Alana Mittleman, Dino Nicolari, Ivan Ozaruk, Daniel Parker, William Rickett, Sarah Seidman, Emmanuel Stok and Mary Warner.

Thirty-nine students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by earning an average score of at least 3 or higher on three or more AP exams taken: Frank Addeo Caroline Anson, Luke Banta, Jordan Barry, Michael Bello, Charlotte Brodie, David Carullo, Jack Carullo, Justin Crowe, Ann DiRusso, Kerry Donnelly, Jared Douglas, Hanna Drabek, Hannah Elsner, Wesley Feero, Katherine Gennarelli, Kyle Gibbons, Jacob Giordano, James Giordano, Trey Glickman, Emily Hahn, Niki Lam, Sarah Latimer, Meredith Levy, Ryan Li, Evelyn Logiudici, Laura Mastracchio, Thomas Minett, Emily Morrison, Edith Neidhart, Katja Olcott, Emily Paolicelli, Johnny Pauta, Madelynn Seruya, Zohra Shaukat, Brian Smith, Matthew Sullivan, Sarah Van Ells and Hannah Varekamp.

During the 2015-16 school year, CHHS offered 18 AP courses. The school will offer 19 AP courses in the 2016-17 academic year, with the addition of AP computer science.
