Village of Ossining Continues Downtown Streetscape Improvements

If you walk to and from the Ossining train station, you'll be happy to know your route will see improvements soon.

Ossining officials report in a "Pardon Our Appearance" message to residents that work slated to begin Thursday, August 22 will update sidewalks and surroundings from Main Street to the train station lot.

Construction will begin at the intersection of Main and State streets, continuing to Water Street. Work will also take place on Secor Road from one end to the train station parking lot.

"This project completes the streetscape improvements through the Downtown to the Waterfront," officials write.

The project includes new sidewalks, decorative lighting, new railing and fencing, and sidewalks that meet ADA standards including the addition of ramps at crosswalks.
