Volunteer Opportunities Of The Week: Bilingual Greeters Needed

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Each week, Patch will be highlighting volunteer opportunities in the Hudson Valley. This will be a chance to help your community and be an opportunity to give back — perhaps in a way you didn't consider before.

This week, we are putting the spotlight on some opportunities in the Hudson Valley.

Bilingual Greeters
Open Door Family Medical Center is seeking bilingual (English-Spanish) volunteers to serve as greeters for its recently expanded clinic in Ossining. As the first friendly faces that patients see when they arrive, Bilingual Greeters play an important role in welcoming visitors, offering information, and ensuring that visitors feel comfortable and well informed.

Invasive Plant Management at Scout Field
Volunteers are needed to help clean up and remove invasive plants at Scout Field. Tools will be provided, but volunteers should bring their own water. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty. This project is perfect for volunteers 14+ and large groups.
Date: 8/2 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Social Media Interns or Volunteers
Westchester Children's Association is looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Intern or Volunteer to assist with content creation, scheduling posts, designing graphics, and tracking engagement across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Volunteers should have strong writing and digital storytelling skills and be 18+.
