BAYVILLE, NY — An early morning fire broke out on two floors of a two-family home with people inside on Tuesday, a photographer on the scene told Patch, but everyone was able to escape safely.
The Bayville Fire Company responded to the fire on Tildean Lane between King Road and Perry Avenue. Kevin Hadigan, who was on the scene capturing images of the fire department's response, said there were early reports of trapped occupants, but that everyone made it out and the fire was under control within 40 minutes.
The Bayville Fire Department says the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
