Cops: Man Stole from Church Donation Boxes in Glen Head
The man is believed to have stolen from the same church twice in December, police say.
A man took money from the donation and deposit boxes at a Glen Head Church early Sunday morning, authorities said.
Nassau Police say a man entered the front door of St. Hyacinth’s Church on 319 Cedar Swamp Road at 1:02 a.m. and removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the donation and deposit boxes. He then entered the home-goods area of the building and removed assorted clothing and items for the home.
The same suspect entered the church on Monday, Dec. 1, and removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the boxes, police said.

Detectives ask anyone with information on these incidents to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
