PLAINVIEW, NY —First Lady Jill Biden visited Long Island on Sunday, visiting a get-out-the-vote rally in Plainview.

She came to campaign for Long Island Democrat Congressional candidate Robert Zimmerman who is running against George Santos in the 3rd District.

In her speech, she highlighted what she said were President Biden's accomplishments over the last few years and said [the administration] is "going to need majorities in Congress to do that."

The race for the seat being vacated by Thomas Suozzi has been tightening in recent weeks and some analysts are saying it could be crucial in determining which party gets control of Congress.

The two candidates faced off during a CBS News debate on "The Point," disagreeing on hot-button issues like crime and inflation.
