Long Island Towns With The Best Credit Scores

According to a WalletHub analysis, 16 Long Island communities were above the 90th percentile in the nation when it comes to average credit scores.

Garden City and Plainview tied as the No. 25 highest credit score in the nation and No. 1 on Long Island.

The Villages, FL ranked as No. 1 in the United States with an average 807 credit score. Pittsford in Monroe County had the highest credit score average in New York with a No. 10 national ranking of 773.

In order to identify the cities with the highest and lowest credit scores, WalletHub's analysts compared the average credit scores of residents in each of 2,572 U.S. "cities" as of October 2017, based on TransUnion data.
