Missing LI Politician Will Remain On Ballot In November: Report

BALDWIN, NY β A Long Island Politician who was reported missing months ago, will remain on the ballot in November, according to CBS News.
Petros Krommidas, 29, is a Democratic candidate for the Nassau County Legislature, and has been missing since April 23. Police say he was last seen in Baldwin, but his clothes and vehicle were recovered in Long Beach.
According to CBS News, a judge ruled Krommidasβ name must stay on the roster since he was not legally declared dead, despite Democrats wanting to replace his name for another candidateβs.

"The Republican Party suing to keep a deceased person on the ballot so that they win an election is not democracy," Corbett said, according to CBS News.
A special election would be held if Krommidas wins, according to NewsNation.
