Monday Was Proclaimed "Color The World Orange Day" To Spread Awareness About Medical Conditions
Town Hall will be illuminated orange to support the CRPS/RDS community.

OYSTER BAY, NY — To help spread awareness about the medical condition Complex Regional Pain Syndrome or Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, Monday was proclaimed as "Color the World Orange Day" by Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and Town Board officials.
Jennie Reigler and her daughter of Plainview attended in honor of Jennie's sister, Beth, who suffers from CRPS/RSD.
According to the National Institutes of Health, CRPS is a term that covers long-lasting pain and inflammation that can occur after an injury or medical event. Severe or long-lasting cases of CRPS can be disabling to a person and prevent them from working or doing their usual activities.

“Jennie’s unwavering dedication to raising awareness about this rare and painful disease is inspirational as she continues to advocate on behalf of her sister, as well as all those suffering from CRPS/RDS,” Saladino said. “The Town of Oyster Bay is supporting the CRPS/RDS community by illuminating Town Hall orange for the entire month of November.”
