Police ID Motorcyclist Killed In Sunday Oyster Bay Cove Crash: Update

OYSTER BAY COVE, NY — Police have identified the motorcyclist who died after colliding head-on with a Kia Sunday afternoon as Michael Rampanelli of Syosset.

According to Nassau police, at 3:40 PM in Oyster Bay Cove, a 21-year-old riding a 2022 Honda motorcycle was traveling south on Berry Hill Road near Northern Boulevard when he entered the northbound lanes and collided with a 2023 Kia Forte, police said.

He suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car, a 62-year-old man, was not injured, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
