The signage brings attention to the crosswalk with flashing lights, which is especially beneficial during the nighttime. The lights are also solar powered, making it beneficial to the environment as it has reduced reliance on electricity, the Town of Oyster Bay said.
βEnsuring the safety of our residents is among our top priorities,β said Councilwoman Vicki Walsh. βThis new signage will serve as a clear reminder for motorists to take caution and slow down when approaching this intersection.β
