Overnight Closures On L.I.E. Coming To Town Of Oyster Bay
The portion of the Long Island Expressway is set to close during the overnight hours for approximately two weeks for highway maintenance.
TOWN OF OYSTER BAY, NY — Overnight closures are coming to the westbound Long Island Expressway in the Town of Oyster Bay, the New York State Department of Transportation announced Wednesday.
The expressway is slated to be closed between Exit 48 (Round Swamp Road) and Exit 46 (Sunnyside Boulevard) during 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. starting Sunday, March 23, for approximately two weeks. Highway maintenance work will be done, weather permitting, according to the department.
Motorists will be detoured onto the North Service Road during the closures. The Northern State Parkway will be available as an alternate route, the department stated.
