OYSTER BAY, NY — Oyster Bay will be seeing red next year, as Joseph Saladino and his Republican allies dominated elections Tuesday night. District Attorney Madeline Singas and Josh Lafazan represented the lone Democrats to collect wins on the Oyster Bay ballot this year. Saladino sailed to victory, as did Town of Oyster Bay council member Steve Labriola.
The GOP swept in the Town of Oyster Bay races, with Laura Maier, Vicki Walsh, Richard LaMarca and Jeff Pravato all earning victories in the races for council, clerk and tax receiver.
Saladino thanked the voters in a Facebook post, using the hashtag "#MovingOysterBayForward." Labriola and Maier also thanked their supporters and pledged to deliver an "honest government" that protects citizens' wallets.
