Oyster Bay House Fire Injures Residents, Firefighters
BREAKING: The fire broke out in the home on Saturday morning, police say.
Four people and two firefighters were injured from a fire that broke out in Oyster Bay on Saturday morning, fire officials say.
According to authorities, police and firefighters responded to a Kellogg Street home that was fully engulfed by the blaze at 5:05 a.m.
The owner of the home, at 68-year-old man, suffered second-degree burns on his body and a 58-year-old male tenant suffered smoke inhalation. They were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The Oyster Bay Fire Department reports two other civilians were also transported to Nassau County Medical Center to be treated.
An Oyster Bay firefighter also suffered minor burns to his knees, arms and forehead. Another firefighter was also treated for injuries.

The Oyster Bay, East Norwich, Bayville, Syosset, Jericho, Atlantic Steamers and Glenwood Fire Departments responded with ten fire apparatus and fifty-five firefighters to extinguish the blaze.
Nassau County Arson Bomb Squad Detectives along with the Nassau County Fire Marshall responded to the scene and determined the fire to be accidental.
