After working in cosmetology, Pastene got into permanent makeup, tattooing and eyelash extensions. Her mission is to "make everyone feel beautiful in their own skin," she wrote.
Oyster Bay families may recognize her from local events like Cruise Nights, the Oyster Bay Market, and the Oyster Festival where she does hair tinsel and temporary tattoos for kids and makes live terrariums using healing stones, hand-painted crafts, and candles, the Chamber said.
Pastere said she loves the relationships she builds with her clients and the therapeutic side of her work.
