Oyster Bay Principal To Be 'Away From Building'
In a letter, Superintendent Francesco Ianni announced the principal's immediate absence.
OYSTER BAY, NY — An Oyster Bay principal will not be returning to her position in the near future.
In a letter to parents and the community, Oyster Bay-East Northwich School District Superintendent Francesco Ianni said on Thursday that Jessica Bader, principal of James H. Vernon School, will "away from the building for some time," according to a letter sent to families.
Bader just started as the principal this year.

Effective immediately, Anastasia Smith, the current assistant principal, will be serving as acting principal.
"My main priority is to alleviate any concerns that you may have regarding the day-to-day operation of the James H. Vernon School and to reassure you that ALL students will continue to learn in the most educationally sound and safe environment," said Ianni.
