GOP Sweeps Town Of Oyster Bay Council Race
The unofficial results are in from the Nassau County Board of Elections.

OYSTER BAY, NY β With the unofficial results in from the Nassau County Board of Elections, the votes are tallied for the Town of Oyster Bay Council Member race.
There were a total of 202,585 votes placed. All three winners were Republican candidates and incumbent candidates.
Six candidates were vying for three spots on the Town of Oyster Bay's Council, and the winners are:

- Republican Louis Imbroto, with the most votes at 41,664, or 20.57 percent.
- Republican Thomas P. Hand had 41,323 votes, or 20.40 percent.
- Republican Andrew A. Monteleone had 41,058 votes or 20.27 percent.
Councilman Imbroto thanked his voters for re-electing him to office.
βI thank the residents for selecting me to represent them for another term in office," Councilman Imbroto said in a release. "As Chairman of the Town Quality of Life Taskforce, the wellbeing of our communities remains my highest priority and I look forward to continuing the great work weβve done to protect the suburban character of our neighborhoods.β

Councilman Hand thanked his community as well.
βThank you to our residents for returning me as Councilman on the Town Board," he said in a release. "I will continue my ongoing mission to make government operate more like the private sector while protecting taxpayer dollars, while also continuing to preserve our environmental assets and safeguard our drinking water.β
Councilman Monteleone said he is looking forward to serving another term as a Council Member.
βI am thrilled to be returned to another term in office on the Oyster Bay Town Board," he said in a release. "Thank you to all residents for instilling their trust in me to represent them in office. I look forward to continuing my dedication to preserving the Townβs quality of life while remaining mindful of fiscal responsibility and putting the needs of taxpayers first.β
As of 11:10 p.m., Louis Imbroto took the lead with 19,031 votes and kept his position at the top.

- Ian D. Steinberg (Democratic)
- Daniel T. Smith (Democratic)
- Thomas P. Hand (Republican) β Incumbent
- Louis Imbroto (Republican) β Incumbent
- Andrew A. Monteleone (Republican) β Incumbent
Results are unofficial until certified by the Nassau County Board of Elections.
