Goetz Wins In The Race For District 18 Legislator
The unofficial results are in from the Nassau County Board of Elections.
OYSTER BAY, NY — Voters have spoken, and the incumbent Samantha A. Goetz appeared to emerge victorious in the race for County Legislator of the Eighteenth District.
According to unofficial results by the Nassau County Board of Elections, Republican candidate Goetz garnered 9,374 votes or 59.23 percent, compared to 6,444 or 40.72 percent garnered by challenger and Democratic candidate Karen Bhatia.
As of 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Samantha A. Goetz was in the lead with 6,432 votes, or 53.51 percent, against Karen Bhatia with 4,918 votes, or 40.92 percent, and continued to gain votes.
