Usdan Hosts February Break Open House
New this year are Quidditch, hip-hop, yoga and more, and also an option for extended hours.

Even if summer is months away, it’s never too early to start scoping out summer programs for the kids - especially during the February break, when cabin-fever starts to set in.
With that in mind, Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts is hosting an open house on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
Known for its music, dance, theater, visual arts, creative writing, nature and ecology and chess, the day camp’s alum include Natalie Portman, who grew up in Syosset, and Mariah Carey, while she lived in Northport.

Additional offerings include hip-hop, beginning combination dance, and lyrical dance. Also new is sewing and fashion design.

The camp is also offering an option with extended hours, from 3:05-6 p.m., for working parents.
If you go: The open house is Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at at 185 Colonial Springs Road, Wheatley Heights. For additional information and reservations, call (631) 643-7900, email info@usdan.com, or visit www.usdan.com.
